SKMP — general contracting

Context

SKMP sp. z o.o. is a construction company specialising in general contracting, meaning the full delivery of construction projects, from design to handover. The firm's portfolio is impressive: from single-family homes to hospital emergency department upgrades, facade insulation, and educational skill centres.

This is one of those projects where the client's scale calls for a matching presentation. A company that builds hospital emergency departments can't have a "quick and dirty" website, it needs a site that communicates the level of trust its commissioning parties place in it.

Challenge

SKMP needed a website that would:

• Show the scale of projects, from small to genuinely large public investments
• Build trust for prospective investors looking for a general contractor
• Present the portfolio as the main evidence of competence
• Look professional, because in this industry the look of the website is an indirect signal of build quality

Scope of work

• Website design, a professional B2B presence for the construction sector
• Implementation, WordPress with an extensive portfolio of completed projects
• Project presentation structure, each project with its own section and description

How to show scale

For a construction company, the portfolio is the most important part of the site. An investor landing on the site wants to see: "Have they already built something at my size, in my specifics?" So I designed the projects section as the central element of the site, with categories and filtering.

Specific projects, specific photos, specific results. These are the facts that investors appreciate.

It's one of the projects I'm especially proud of, because the client got a tool proportional to the level of their construction investments.
