Nimbus6 — mountain holiday home on Gubałówka

Context

Nimbus6 is a mountain holiday home perched on the summit of Gubałówka (1,117 m above sea level), one of the most recognisable spots in the Polish Tatras. A wooden house built using traditional methods by regional craftsmen, fitted with modern amenities. That combination of authentic highlander architecture and the comfort today's travellers expect is rare.

Location is everything in this project. Gubałówka: 5 minutes from the Szymoszkowa ski station, a panoramic view of the Tatras, close to Zakopane and yet cut off from the noise of the town. The client is not looking for "a place to sleep in the Tatras". They are looking for an experience.

Why traditional wooden construction

A wooden house built from squared logs by regional craftsmen is not decoration. It is an authentic experience. Guests walking in smell the wood, see construction techniques that look different from a typical guesthouse. It is part of the Nimbus6 product, not an add-on.

The site has to communicate this: interior photos, the story of how it was built, an emphasis on local craftsmanship. A traveller looking for Zakopane with character gets exactly that here.

1,117 m above sea level as a differentiator

An elevation above 1,000 metres is unusual. Most guesthouses near Zakopane sit lower down: in the valleys, by the streets, in the middle of the tourist bustle. Nimbus6 is physically above all of that. Panorama, silence, mountain views at sunrise. Those are the emotions that sell.

Booking system

Without an online booking system a holiday home loses reservations. A customer finds the place on Google, wants to check availability on a specific date and book. Zero phone calls, zero emails, zero waiting. That is why I built booking straight into the site: the customer clicks, picks a date, pays and gets a confirmation.

Result

Nimbus6 got a site that conveys the uniqueness of the location and the authenticity of the traditional wooden house. A tourist looking for "a different kind of Zakopane" lands here and sees exactly what they came for.
