Piotrków county website

Context

The Piotrków County portal was a full-scope project. I handled everything: graphic design, technical implementation and ongoing care after launch. This is one of those projects I am especially proud of. The portal came out elegant, modern and comfortable to use day to day.

Design and implementation

I designed the interface from scratch, with two user groups in mind:

• Residents of the county: looking for information on official matters and events
• Tourists: interested in regional attractions such as the Sulejów Reservoir or the Cistercian Abbey

The portal combines the informational role of the office with promotion of the region. It is not just "the county office website", it is a full showcase of the county.

Features

• Online appointment booking: makes contact with the office easier, without queues
• Presentation of tourist attractions: the Sulejów Reservoir, the Cistercian Abbey and other landmarks that make the county stand out
• Full WCAG 2.1 AA compliance: a public portal must be accessible to everyone

Comprehensive cybersecurity

From the start we implemented a full security stack. It is not an add-on, it is the foundation:

• 24/7 monitoring: continuous checks on availability and integrity
• Two-factor login (2FA): protection of administrative access
• Intrusion protection: filters, firewall, breach-attempt detection
• Scheduled backups: automatic backups with the option of full restore
• Ongoing updates: WordPress, plugins, theme, PHP
• Malware removal: fast response to any incident

There was a lot of work during implementation and later during care related to hardening the site and responding to breach attempts. That is precisely why the portal is stable and secure today.

Technical support

On top of the standard care I also provide fast technical support: responding to email and phone requests, helping the editorial team and resolving incidents.
